Drainscreen PM1
The Drainscreen PM1 EIF System is a mechanically fastened Class PM system that is identical to the Plastonite EIF System, except that the Drainscreen PM1 EIF System uses Plastodrain XPS insulation boards in addition to the Moisture Control System, to more readily facilitate the drainage of unwanted moisture than regular XPS boards. (See the Plastonite EIF System specification for a description of base coat and reinforcing mesh improvements as compared to typical PM systems.) Because of the better base coat and double reinforcing mesh, the Drainscreen PM1 EIF System provides superior flexibility, toughness and crack control as compared to other PM systems. In addition, the Plastodrain XPS insulation boards provide the unique capability of drainage system.
